The spectacular performances of Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz at the first Grand Prix of the season in Bahrain have once again unleashed the passion for Formula 1 in Spain, and the whole world is already impatiently waiting for the two Spanish drivers to get back behind the wheel at the next race.
The Spaniard was on the podium in his first test with Aston Martin after roll at a devilish pace with the AMR23. Neither the Mercedes of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, nor the Ferrari of their compatriot, could prevent ‘Magic’ from finishing third.
For his part, the Spanish from the ‘Scuderia’ had to settle for fourth place after the abandonment of Charles Leclerc due to battery problems. Alonso’s overtaking put him in danger from the Briton, who was prevented from chasing down Sainz due to the deterioration of his tires.
When and where is the next race
we will have to wait two weeks to enjoy a Formula 1 Grand Prix again, until the weekend of March 17-19, when the second race will take place at the next stop: Saudi Arabia.
In Jeddah, Sainz was on the podium and Alonso was left out, while victory went to Max Verstappen and second place to Leclerc. This year the final photo could be very differentbecause two Spaniards could appear.
