Galatasaray’s Portuguese midfielder Sergio Oliveira He joked about how he met his wife and said that it was because the Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui did not call him to the games when they met at Porto.
On his Instagram profile, Oliveira recalled that he met his wife, journalist at a local television channelat the Estádio do Dragão, Porto’s headquarters, because the team’s then coach, Lopetegui, did not include him in the calls.

I met her “thanks to Lopetegui, who always left me on the bench. The best ever!” said the now Turkish Galatasaray player. “I was about to invite him to be my best man at the wedding”he joked.
Sérgio Oliveira, 30, grew up in Porto’s academy and made his debut with the first team, but was transferred in 2013. He was signed again in 2015, in Lopetegui’s second season on Porto’s bench, and the Spaniard only used it in three games before his dismissal in January 2016.
The midfielder finally stood out at Porto under the orders of the current team coach, Sergio Conceicao, and with the blue and white shirt he won three Leagues, three Cups and two Portuguese Super Cups. He was later loaned to José Mourinho’s Roma, with whom he won the Conference League, and currently plays for Galatasaray.
