He cyclist Sergio Martin remains hospitalized after suffer a serious accident while training this Tuesday morning. The man from Madrid collided with a vehicle while riding a time trial bike near his home, in Galapagar (Madrid).

His team, Team Caja Rural, has reported that the cyclist has been transferred to Hospital 12 de Octubre, where He is “conscious and stable”.

“After undergoing several tests, it has been confirmed the fracture of five ribs and two vertebraeof which will be operated on and he will remain hospitalized pending evolution and other medical tests”, explains Sergio Martín’s team.

“From Caja Rural-Seguros RGA we wish a speedy recovery to the brave rider from Madrid, trained in our youth academy and who is celebrating his fourth season in the professional team,” he adds.
